The comparison is not João Pedro's form vs his past self; it is João Pedro's 2-game floor vs Ekitiké's blank. PPG 5.3 vs 4.5 also confirms João Pedro is the superior asset long-term. For GW36 specifically, CHE hosts NFO (FDR 2) — the easiest CHE fixture remaining — which should see form recover.

Ekitiké exit rationale: Form 0.7, Liverpool rotation risk, and no DGW33. The most transferred-out FWD this week. No pathway back into the analysis.

Q2 — Does Senesi improve the starting XI or compete with existing BOU slots? Bench only — no XI congestion. Current BOU: Scott (XI) + Petrović (bench B1) = 2 BOU. Adding Senesi = 3 BOU, which is the maximum allowed and fills that club allocation cleanly.

Q3 — Projected GW33 BB bench points: Senesi (BOU double vs NEW + LEE, est. PPG 4.5 × 2 = 9.0 pts) vs Justin (LEE double WOL + BOU, est. PPG 2.8 × 2 = 5.6 pts). Senesi is the top-scoring BOU outfielder this season (139 total pts) — a clear upgrade. Total bench projection post-trade: Petrović ~6 + Mukiele ~5 + Enzo ~9 + Senesi ~9 = ~29 pts (vs ~25 with Justin).

Q4 — GW34–38 balance: Senesi (BOU) blanks GW34–35 alongside the DGW33 core — no change to the blank-GW pain. From GW36, BOU resumes (CRY H fdr3). Justin (LEE) had better GW35 (fdr1) and GW36 fixtures — this is the one cost of the trade. Accept it: the BB gain in GW33 is larger than the GW35 marginal loss from a bench player.

Q5 — Verdict: YES, execute both transfers. João Pedro adds a 5th DGW33 starting XI doubler replacing a blanking Ekitiké. Senesi upgrades the best bench slot by ~3–4 pts for BB. Van Hecke is BHA's defensive linchpin (PPG 4.2, form 6.0), facing Spurs away (FDR 2 — very favourable for Brighton) and hosting Chelsea (FDR 3). Brighton are in excellent defensive form. Clean sheet probability vs Spurs is high. Budget: £4.5m, well within the £6.6m available post-sell.

Execute after the two free transfers. Club check: ARS drops to 1 (Gabriel only), BHA rises to 1 (Van Hecke). No rule breach.

Why this hit clears the bar: Anderson plays a single game — NFO vs Burnley at home (FDR 1). Despite the favourable fixture, his form is 2.3 and his GW33 projection is only 3.3 pts. Wieffer (BHA MID, form 8.0) is the highest-form player available for this slot and doubles in GW33 (TOT A + CHE H), projecting 9.5 pts. Gross gain +6.2 pts, net after −4 hit = +2.2 pts. Individually borderline — but combined with Hit A, the two hits together produce +5.5 pts net, making them clearly the correct call as a pair.

Wieffer at £4.9m is also a strong GW35 (BHA vs NEW A) and GW36 (WOL H fdr2) asset — long-term value supplements the GW33 BB gain. Club check: BHA rises to 2 (Van Hecke + Wieffer). No rule breach (max 3).

Do not take a 5th transfer (Candidate D — Kelleher → Verbruggen nets only +0.4 pts; not worth another −4). Stop at 4 total transfers.

Best-form player in the squad (7.7) going into a FDR-3 fixture. Chelsea host Man Utd in their DGW33 opener — a motivated Chelsea side but not an insurmountable away fixture for a player of Fernandes' quality. His floor is the highest of any single-game captain option.

VC: Haaland (MCI DGW — vs Arsenal H + Burnley A). Despite form 1.0, a DGW for the highest-PPG FWD in the game provides the auto-VC safety net if Fernandes blanks at Chelsea.
